DESIGN LEADER

In 2013, Janaki helped create the Design and Co-Innovation Center, a strategic design agency within SAP. She recruited, coached and inspired talented interaction designers, visual designers, design thinkers, technology and business experts to deliver products and services to customers that transformed the way they worked. She led teams that won multiple product design awards including the Gold award for Best Enterprise Experience, several Red Dot awards, IDEA award, Fast Company Innovation by design award, to name a few. Janaki was named a Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2016.

01 AppHaus

The architecture and design of the places where we work influences how we behave in them. Siloed offices tell the occupants “be efficient”. Whereas open floor plans with plenty of common areas for meeting and mingling with other office mates tells the occupants to “collaborate”. They break down hierarchies and make connections with people from other disciplines. This type of radical collaboration is essential to innovation.

In the SAP AppHaus, every wall is writable and every furniture is movable. We celebrate the maker mindset and invite our employees and customers to actively co-create the future.
